The Champion Hill herd sire who was the top-selling bull of the Spring 2000 sale season when one-third interest sold for $90,000 to a group of leading breeders. This popular young sire earned an individual weaning ratio of 110 and an individual yearling ratio of 113 in the performance program at Schaff Angus Valley in North Dakota and he features a tabulation which stacks five consecutive generations of proven carcass genetics by the $75,000 SVF GDAR 216 LTD from the proven Blacklass family.
The dam of this bull, who serves as a joint embryo donor for the Champion Hill, Southern Cattle Company, and Schaff Angus Valley programs, records a progeny birth ratio of 91 in combination with a progeny weaning ratio of 114 on four natural calves and a progeny yearling ratio of 114 on two head. The grandam of this bull was a member of the very first embryo flush at Gardiner Angus Ranch in Kansas which also includes the high marbling and high maternal Pathfinder Sire GAR Sleep Easy 1009, and she was the $25,000 second top-selling cow of a past Gardiner sale where her flush sister was the $17,500 top-seller. A full sister-in-blood to the dam of this bull produced the $20,000 top-selling female of the 2001 SAV Sale to Kahn Cattle Company of Georgia.
Paul Hill considers the sensational first calf crop by this outstanding sire to be among the very best he has ever produced. Like his legendary sire and grandsire who were lost early in life with limited remaining semen, the progeny of Limited Edition have all the makings of a new generation of true breed treasures.
